Minnesota State University Mankato
Updates:

-Test-optional for Fall 2021.  Mankato is not requiring students to submit ACT or SAT scores for admission or scholarship consideration through the fall of 2021.  Students can be placed into college-level courses based on high school GPA if they do not provide a standardized test score.

-Most of the scholarships for new, incoming first-year students will be awarded through RaiseMe.  Student can find Mankato's opportunities at http://www.raise.me/join/mankato-mnsu
*Students grades 9-12 can enter their academic, extracurricular, and family activities and track their earnings throughout high school.
*Seniors have until January 15th to update their profiles and qualify for more scholarship dollars.

University of Minnesota-Duluth
Effective spring semester 2021, the University of Minnesota Duluth is implementing a Test-Optional admission policy.  This permanent change in policy has been considered for a number of years and seeks to remove a barrier that may deter otherwise qualified students from applying for undergraduate admission.  Applicants will continue to be reviewed using a holistic review process that includes the student's official high school or transfer school record and supporting documentation.  UMD is adopting this policy to provide applicants with more control of how they present their credentials within the application process and in consideration of test availability and access to testing.

The priority deadline for admission and scholarship consideration remains December 15th.  We recommend that all students apply for admission early for best program availability, as well as housing and registration priority.  Students who apply for admission by the December 15 priority deadline and complete their file by Feb. 1, will be considered for scholarships valued at up to $24,000.  UMD continues to partner with RaiseMe scholarship program.
